In this post, I’m sharing the list of ultralight backpacking gear that I used to thruhike the Appalachian Trail in the spring and summer of 2021. My base weight (the weight of my pack with no food or water) was 9.5 pounds. That includes my camera gear, and also includes a few odds and ends that I haven’t listed below (credit cards, etc.)
